Distillery Rutte, established in 1872 in the heart of the historic town of Dordrecht in Holland, has been making vodka for generations. The recipe is a closely-guarded secret in the Rutte family. In 2009 Rutte introduced the first certified organic vodka in Europe. The origin of this premium spirit is certified organic wheat, from the Piedmont and Lombardy regions of Northwest Italy, cultivated without conventional pesticides and artificial fertilizers. It's harvested locally, fermented and then distilled five times. In the same way as we have done for decades we add our secret natural ingredient. The difference now is that every ingredient, as well as the process in our ancient distillery, is organically certified.
